A Mental Vacation from RealityLet us all take a breather from the havoc and chaos that is contemporary news because between COVID-19 and the recent murder hornets plot twist, we cherish any form of escapism we can find nowadays. Consider it a mental vacation or even a simple stay-at-home soiree. The goal of this exercise is to figure out how to find some wiggle room and to loosen up when we all feel trapped inside of our living quarters. Rather than pressuring oneself to develop a new craft, find a new talent, or attempt the gravity-defying cake recipe from the finale of The Great British Baking Show, set aside some time this coming week to breathe out any bad energy and breathe in the warmer winds. April has come and gone like a fever dream and it is uncertain what reality will look like come summer, but we should remain optimistic, encourage essential workers by doing our share of smart social distancing, and take care of our own sanity through whatever healthy habits that do the trick. At the end of the day, we hope deeply that everyone is finding safety and health wherever they have hunkered down in this chaotic time. For those of us who are lucky enough to be able to continue our businesses in some shape and form from the comfort of our self-quarantined headquarters, find productivity where you can but do not bring added stress. More importantly, everyone at Young Huh Interior Design is sending their thoughts to those being greatly affected, no matter it physically, mentally, or emotionally, by the seismic shifts caused by COVID-19.
